EDIRI stands for "Paths and Practices of Education, Dialogue and Reconciliation in Sri Lanka". It is a youth empowerment initiative offered to schools across Sri Lanka with the overarching mission of "Empowering youth for a better tomorrow".

The project is funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) and is collaboratively managed by the MAGIS Foundation ETS and the Trustees of the Society of Jesus in Sri Lanka, in partnership with the Tulana Research Centre.

Core Pillars of the Program

The EDIRI project focuses on training and engaging students in three main areas:

• Peace & Reconciliation: The program is dedicated to fostering interfaith dialogue and understanding. It actively works on building bridges between different communities and establishing common goals.

• Social Action & Justice: EDIRI advocates for human rights and social justice, encouraging youth to engage in active participation to create positive change in their communities.

• Leadership Skills: The initiative focuses on developing young leaders and interfaith agents. It equips these young agents with the skills necessary to spearhead meaningful, community-driven initiatives.
